Ingredients

  • Large basil leaf, plus more leaves for garnish
  • 1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • Prosecco
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Pour simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Tear the basil leaf in half and add to the shaker and muddle into the simple syrup.
  2. Fill shaker halfway with ice.
  3. Add the whiskey and lemon juice, and shake vigorously.
  4. Strain into a cocktail glass and top with cold prosecco. Garnish with a basil leaf.
