Rosemary simple syrup can be mixed into cocktails and used to make delicious non-alcoholic spritzers. Add a little to a scoop of vanilla ice cream or top a bowl of berries.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 5-6 sprigs fresh rosemary, intact

Instructions

  1. Add the water and sugar to a small pot over medium heat and stir until dissolved.
  2. Add the rosemary sprigs and stir, then simmer for just a few minutes.
  3. Cover, turn the heat off and let steep for 60 minutes.
  4. Discard the rosemary sprigs, strain into an airtight container, and store in the refrigerator until ready to use, or for up to 7 days.

Notes

  • I freeze extra in ice cube trays. When frozen, I put them in a reusable plastic bag and pop in the freezer to use later.
