This fun and festive cocktail was invented in 1918 by Philibert Guichet. It is frothy, creamy, minty, and chocolatey, and it screams HOLIDAY. This version has a twist: an optional shot of vodka. It cuts a bit of the sweet. It tastes just like a party in a glass!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces half and half, or heavy cream
- 1 ounce crème de menthe
- 1 ounce crème de cacao white/clear
- 1 ounce vodka
- For the garnish, one or a combination of the following: chocolate sauce to swirl, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, mint sprig, optional but fun
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour in all the ingredients except the garnish and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
- Pour into cocktail glasses and garnish.
