Refreshing and bursting with juicy pomegranate flavor, this sangria looks beautiful in a pitcher on any holiday table or buffet.
Ingredients
- Large orange, cut into slices, and each slice halved, plus more for garnish, garnish optional
- 2 apples, diced, with or without skin
- The seeds (arils) from one pomegranate, plus more for garnish, garnish optional
- 750 milliliter bottle of favorite white wine
- 2 cups pomegranate juice, can substitute with cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup simple syrup
- 1/3 cup orange liquor
- 1/3 cup brandy
Instructions
- Place fruit in a pitcher and pour in all remaining ingredients. Stir and let chill for a couple of hours to let the flavors develop.
- Add ice to your favorite cocktail glass and pour the sangria over the ice. Garnish with half an orange slice, and a small handful of pomegranate seeds.
Notes
- Add additional soaked fruit if desired.
- Let sit in the refrigerator for a couple hours, though 1-2 days is even better.
- Pinot Noir or Cabernet may be used in place of white wine, if you prefer.
