Tangy, savory, and simple! These Halfway Homemade fritters are so easy to make, thanks to the store-bought marinated artichokes. This recipe can be cooked in an air fryer or oven.
Ingredients
Artichokes
- 16 ounces marinated artichokes, drained, marinade reserved for dipping sauce
- 1/2 cup of pecorino cheese, grated, plus more for serving
- 1/3 cup flour of choice
- Kosher salt
Dipping Sauce
- 1/2 cup reserved artichoke marinade
- 2 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- A few sprigs tarragon, chopped, about 1 tablespoon
Instructions
Artichokes – Air Fryer Method
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Mix drained artichokes, cheese, and flour together, then pop the mixture into the air fryer.
- Cook for 10 minutes, shaking half way through.
- Sprinkle with Kosher salt and some Pecorino cheese. Serve hot.
Artichokes – Oven Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Mix drained artichokes, cheese, and flour together and spread mixture on a rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown, shaking after the first 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with Kosher salt and some Pecorino cheese. Serve hot.
Dipping Sauce
- Mix all the ingredients together to incorporate.
