Tangy, savory, and simple! These Halfway Homemade fritters are so easy to make, thanks to the store-bought marinated artichokes. This recipe can be cooked in an air fryer or oven.

Ingredients

Artichokes

  • 16 ounces marinated artichokes, drained, marinade reserved for dipping sauce
  • 1/2 cup of pecorino cheese, grated, plus more for serving
  • 1/3 cup flour of choice
  • Kosher salt

Dipping Sauce

  • 1/2 cup reserved artichoke marinade
  • 2 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • A few sprigs tarragon, chopped, about 1 tablespoon

Instructions

Artichokes – Air Fryer Method

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Mix drained artichokes, cheese, and flour together, then pop the mixture into the  air fryer.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes, shaking half way through.
  4. Sprinkle with Kosher salt and some Pecorino cheese. Serve hot.

Artichokes – Oven Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Mix drained artichokes, cheese, and flour together and spread mixture on a rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown, shaking after the first 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with Kosher salt and some Pecorino cheese. Serve hot.

Dipping Sauce

  1. Mix all the ingredients together to incorporate.
